iOmega hard drive recovery
iOmega mostly manufactures external hard drives, and has been producing dependable and easy-to-use storage solutions since 1980, when they started off as an IBM resource in the Arizona desert. Right from the start the company’s engineers and technicians started researching crash-proof technology as a means of avoiding data loss. In 1982 they introduced the Iomega Alpha-10 Bernoulli hard drive as the first magnetic storage product to offer built in crash-protection, and have been expanding their selection of products ever since. Because of this the frequency of Iomega hard drive recovery problems has never been so great. However, IOmega hard drives do sometimes fail and occasionally recovery is necessary.
One infrequent problem with Iomega devices is a sudden failure of the hard drive necessitating recovery. Other indications may be:
- The Iomega driver may be unattainable, but continue to function physically
- The operating system recognises the hard drive in the enclosure, but a fail error still appears.
- The operating system recognises the hard drive but asks you to format it.
- The operating system will fail to recognise the hard drive when connected via a USB
- The hard drive fails to respond on power up when switched on.
If you suspect a system failure with an Iomega external hard drive, turn it off and remove it from the system immediately. The sooner you power down the drive, the better your chances of recovery of lost data, after our evaluation and diagnosis. Remember, our job is to fix your problem.
